Saint Isabel
Saint Isabel, also known as Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, was a princess born in 1207 in Hungary. She is celebrated for her deep compassion and dedication to helping the poor and sick. Isabel married Louis IV of Thuringia and used her royal resources to establish hospitals and provide for those in need.
After her husband's death, Isabel faced challenges but continued her charitable work. She is often depicted in art with a basket of bread, symbolizing her generosity. Canonized in 1235, she is the patron saint of Bakers and Noble Families, and her feast day is celebrated on November 17.
