Saint Cunigunde
Saint Cunigunde, also known as Saint Kunigunde, was a German princess born around 975. She is best known as the wife of Emperor Henry II, the last Holy Roman Emperor of the Ottonian dynasty. Cunigunde was known for her piety and charitable works, dedicating her life to helping the poor and supporting the church.
After her husband's death in 1024, Cunigunde entered a convent and continued her religious devotion. She was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI in 1200, and her feast day is celebrated on March 3. Saint Cunigunde is often depicted in art with a crown and a cross, symbolizing her royal status and faith.
