Saint Adalbert
Saint Adalbert, also known as Saint Wojciech, was a 10th-century bishop and missionary who played a significant role in the Christianization of Poland and Bohemia. Born around 956 in Prague, he became the Bishop of Prague and was known for his dedication to spreading Christianity among the Slavic peoples.
He faced challenges and opposition during his mission, leading to his eventual martyrdom in 997 in Prussia. Saint Adalbert is venerated as a patron saint of Poland and Czech Republic, and his feast day is celebrated on April 23. His legacy continues to influence the region's religious history.
