Saharan silver antelope
The Saharan silver antelope, also known as the addax, is a critically endangered species native to the Sahara Desert. It is well-adapted to arid environments, with a light-colored coat that reflects sunlight and helps regulate body temperature. The antelope can survive long periods without water, obtaining moisture from the vegetation it consumes.
These antelopes are known for their long, twisted horns and unique, slender bodies. They primarily feed on grasses and shrubs, and their population has drastically declined due to habitat loss and hunting. Conservation efforts are underway to protect this remarkable species and its habitat.
