Sagarmatha
Sagarmatha, known as Mount Everest in English, is the highest peak in the world, standing at 8,848.86 meters (29,031.7 feet) above sea level. It is located in the Himalayas on the border between Nepal and Tibet. The mountain is a popular destination for climbers and trekkers, attracting thousands of adventurers each year.
The name "Sagarmatha" is derived from the Nepali language, meaning "goddess of the sky." It holds significant cultural and spiritual importance for the local Sherpa people. The first successful ascent of Sagarmatha was achieved by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953.
