Sadism
Sadism is a psychological condition characterized by the enjoyment of inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others. This behavior can manifest in various forms, including physical, emotional, or psychological harm. Sadistic tendencies can be present in both clinical settings and everyday interactions, often linked to power dynamics in relationships.
In some contexts, such as BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Dominance, Submission, Sadism, and Masochism), sadism is practiced consensually, where individuals derive pleasure from the exchange of power and control. It is important to distinguish between consensual sadism and harmful behavior, as the former involves mutual agreement and respect among participants.
