Sa'id Qutb
Sa'id Qutb was an Egyptian author, educator, and Islamic thinker, born on October 9, 1906. He is best known for his influential writings on Islam and his role in the Muslim Brotherhood, a political and social organization advocating for Islamic governance. Qutb's ideas emphasized the need for a return to pure Islamic principles and criticized Western influences on Muslim societies.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Qutb became a prominent figure in Islamic thought, particularly through his book, Milestones, which called for a revolutionary approach to establishing an Islamic state. He was arrested in 1954 and executed in 1966, but his writings continue to inspire various Islamic movements worldwide.
