SWAT teams
SWAT teams, or Special Weapons and Tactics teams, are specialized units within law enforcement agencies. They are trained to handle high-risk situations, such as hostage rescues, armed standoffs, and counter-terrorism operations. These teams use advanced equipment and tactics to ensure the safety of both officers and civilians.
Typically, SWAT teams consist of officers with additional training in areas like negotiation, marksmanship, and tactical operations. They often work closely with other units, such as K-9 units and crisis negotiation teams, to effectively manage dangerous situations and maintain public safety.
