STS-123
STS-123 was a space shuttle mission that launched on March 12, 2008. The mission's primary objective was to deliver the Japanese Experiment Module (JEM) to the International Space Station (ISS). The shuttle Endeavour carried a crew of seven astronauts, including the first Japanese astronaut to command a shuttle mission, Koichi Wakata.
During the mission, the crew conducted three spacewalks to install and configure the JEM. They also delivered supplies and equipment to the ISS, enhancing its capabilities for scientific research. The mission concluded with a successful landing on March 26, 2008, after 16 days in space.
