SEIR Model
The SEIR Model is a mathematical framework used to understand the spread of infectious diseases. It divides the population into four compartments: Susceptible, Exposed, Infectious, and Recovered. Individuals move between these compartments based on specific rates, helping researchers predict how diseases can spread over time.
In the SEIR Model, the Exposed group includes individuals who have been infected but are not yet contagious. This model is particularly useful for diseases with a significant incubation period, allowing public health officials to plan interventions and control outbreaks effectively.
