SCAT
SCAT, or the School and College Ability Test, is a standardized assessment designed to measure the academic abilities of students, particularly in mathematics and verbal skills. It is often used for identifying gifted students and is administered by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth.
The test consists of multiple-choice questions that assess reasoning and problem-solving skills. SCAT is typically taken by students in grades 2 through 12 and helps educators understand a student's readiness for advanced coursework or programs. Results can guide placement in enrichment programs and inform educational planning.
