Rusyn People
The Rusyn people are an ethnic group primarily found in the regions of eastern Europe, particularly in parts of Ukraine, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. They speak the Rusyn language, which is a Slavic language closely related to Ukrainian and Slovak. The Rusyns have a rich cultural heritage that includes traditional music, dance, and folk art.
Historically, the Rusyns have faced challenges regarding their identity and recognition, often being classified under broader national categories. Despite this, they maintain distinct customs and traditions, celebrating unique festivals and religious practices that reflect their heritage and community values.
