The VKS is responsible for defending Russian airspace, conducting air operations, and managing space activities. It operates a variety of aircraft, including fighter jets, bombers, and transport planes, as well as missile defense systems. The VKS plays a crucial role in national security and military strategy, ensuring readiness against potential threats.
