Round Table Conference
The Round Table Conference was a series of meetings held in the early 1930s in London, aimed at discussing constitutional reforms in British India. It involved representatives from the British government and various Indian political groups, including the Indian National Congress and the Muslim League. The conferences sought to address the demands for greater self-governance and to find a solution to the political issues facing India.
The first conference took place in 1930, followed by two more in 1931 and 1932. Although the discussions were significant, they ultimately did not lead to a consensus on the future governance of India. The conferences highlighted the complexities of Indian politics and the differing aspirations of various communities.
