Ros Tapestry
The Ros Tapestry is a remarkable embroidery project located in County Wexford, Ireland. It consists of a series of 15 large panels that depict the history of the Norman invasion of Ireland in the 12th century. Each panel is intricately designed and showcases various historical events, figures, and daily life during that time.
Created by a group of local volunteers, the tapestry was initiated in 1998 and completed in 2010. It serves as both an artistic expression and a historical record, celebrating the rich heritage of the region. The Ros Tapestry is displayed in the Town Hall of New Ross, attracting visitors interested in history and craftsmanship.
