Rorschach inkblot test
The Rorschach inkblot test is a psychological assessment tool used to evaluate a person's personality and emotional functioning. It consists of a series of inkblots, created by dropping ink on paper and folding it, resulting in symmetrical patterns. During the test, individuals are shown these inkblots and asked to describe what they see, providing insight into their thoughts and feelings.
Developed by Swiss psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach in the early 20th century, the test is based on the idea that people project their own interpretations onto ambiguous stimuli. The responses are analyzed to identify underlying psychological traits and potential mental health issues.
