Hermann Rorschach
Hermann Rorschach was a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, best known for developing the Rorschach inkblot test. Born on November 8, 1884, he studied at the University of Zurich and became interested in the interpretation of psychological responses. His work focused on understanding personality and emotional functioning through visual stimuli.
In 1921, Rorschach published his influential book, "Psychodiagnostik," which introduced the inkblot test as a tool for assessing mental health. The test consists of a series of inkblots, and individuals are asked to describe what they see. Rorschach's innovative approach has had a lasting impact on psychology and remains widely used in clinical settings.
