Ronald DeFeo Jr.
Ronald DeFeo Jr. was an American man born on September 26, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York. He is infamously known for committing the mass murder of his family in 1974, where he killed six members of the DeFeo family in their home in Amityville. This tragic event led to his arrest and subsequent conviction for the murders.
The case gained widespread attention and became the basis for numerous books and films, including the famous horror movie, The Amityville Horror. DeFeo was sentenced to six consecutive sentences of 25 years to life in prison, where he remained until his death on March 12, 2021.
