Rodrigo Chaves Robles is a Costa Rican politician and economist who became the President of Costa Rica in May 2022. He is a member of the Social Democratic Progress Party and has a background in finance, having worked at the World Bank and served as the Minister of Finance in Costa Rica.
Chaves was born on June 10, 1961, in San José, Costa Rica. He has a degree in economics from the University of Costa Rica and a master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His presidency focuses on economic recovery, social issues, and addressing corruption in the government.
