Robert Rich, 1st Earl of Warwick
Robert Rich, 1st Earl of Warwick was an English nobleman born in 1587. He was the son of Robert Rich, 2nd Baron Rich and became a prominent figure during the English Civil War. In 1618, he was granted the title of Earl of Warwick, which elevated his status in the English aristocracy.
Rich was known for his support of the Parliamentarians against the Royalists during the civil conflict. He also played a significant role in the governance of New England and was involved in the founding of the Connecticut Colony. He passed away in 1658, leaving a legacy in both England and America.
