Robert Rich, 2nd Earl of Warwick
Robert Rich, 2nd Earl of Warwick (1587–1658), was an English nobleman and a prominent figure during the English Civil War. He was the son of Robert Rich, 1st Earl of Warwick and inherited his title in 1619. Rich was known for his support of the Parliamentarians against the Royalists, aligning himself with the cause of the Parliament during the conflict.
In addition to his political involvement, Rich was also a notable naval commander. He played a significant role in the English Navy and was involved in various military campaigns. His contributions to both politics and military affairs made him a key figure in 17th-century England.
