Robert I of France
Robert I of France, also known as Robert the Strong, was a notable figure in the early medieval period, born around 865. He became the Duke of the Franks and played a significant role in defending his territory against Viking invasions. His leadership helped to stabilize the region during a time of turmoil.
In 922, Robert I was elected King of the Franks, succeeding Charles the Simple. His reign was marked by internal conflicts and struggles for power, particularly with rival factions. Robert I's rule ended in 923 when he was killed in battle, but he is remembered for his contributions to the early French monarchy.
