Robert, Count of Clermont
Robert, Count of Clermont was a French nobleman born in 1256. He was the son of King Louis IX of France and Marguerite of Provence. Robert became the first Count of Clermont in 1283, a title he held until his death in 1317. He played a significant role in the politics of his time, particularly in the region of Auvergne.
As a member of the royal family, Robert was involved in various military campaigns and supported his brother, Philip IV of France, in consolidating power. His lineage continued through his descendants, who maintained influence in French nobility.
