Richard II of England
Richard II of England was born on January 6, 1367, and became king at the young age of 10 after the death of his grandfather, Edward III. His reign began in 1377 and lasted until 1399. Richard was known for his attempts to centralize power and reduce the influence of the nobility, which led to conflicts during his rule.
In 1399, Richard was deposed by his cousin, Henry Bolingbroke, who became Henry IV. Richard's reign is often marked by political strife, including the Peasants' Revolt of 1381. He died in captivity in 1400, and his life and reign have been the subject of various historical analyses and literary works.
