Richard Cameron
Richard Cameron was a Scottish Covenanter born in 1625. He was a prominent figure during the religious conflicts in Scotland, particularly known for his strong opposition to the monarchy's interference in church affairs. Cameron became a leader of the Covenanters, a group that sought to maintain the Presbyterian form of worship and governance.
Cameron is best known for his role in the Covenanter movement and for his martyrdom in 1680. He was killed at the Battle of Airds Moss, where he fought against government forces. His legacy continues to be remembered in Scottish history, particularly among those who value religious freedom and resistance to oppression.
