Reynisdrangar
Reynisdrangar is a group of striking basalt sea stacks located off the southern coast of Iceland, near the village of Vik. These natural formations rise dramatically from the Atlantic Ocean, reaching heights of up to 66 meters (217 feet). The stacks are known for their unique shapes and dark color, which contrast beautifully with the surrounding landscape.
According to local folklore, Reynisdrangar was formed when trolls attempted to drag a ship to shore. When daylight broke, the trolls were turned to stone, resulting in the towering stacks we see today. The area is also popular for its black sand beaches and stunning coastal views.
