Retinitis
Retinitis is an eye condition characterized by inflammation of the retina, the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye. This inflammation can lead to vision problems, including blurred vision or even vision loss. Various factors, such as infections, autoimmune diseases, or exposure to toxins, can cause retinitis.
There are different types of retinitis, including retinitis pigmentosa, which is a genetic disorder that causes progressive vision loss. Treatment options may vary depending on the underlying cause and can include medications, laser therapy, or other interventions to manage symptoms and preserve vision.
