Resonance Phenomena
Resonance phenomena occur when an object or system is driven to oscillate at its natural frequency by an external force. This can lead to a significant increase in amplitude, making the vibrations much stronger. For example, when a singer hits the right note, they can cause a glass to shatter due to the glass's natural frequency matching the sound wave.
In physics, resonance is commonly observed in systems like musical instruments, bridges, and electrical circuits. In these cases, the energy transfer between the driving force and the system can create powerful effects, sometimes leading to structural failure or enhanced sound production.
