Regions of Ukraine
Ukraine is divided into several regions, known as oblasts, each with its own unique characteristics. The country has 24 oblasts, along with the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Kyiv, which serves as the capital. These regions vary in geography, culture, and economy, contributing to Ukraine's diverse identity.
The western regions, such as Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk, are known for their mountainous landscapes and rich cultural heritage. In contrast, the eastern regions, including Donetsk and Luhansk, are more industrialized. The southern region, particularly Odessa, is famous for its Black Sea coastline and vibrant port activities.
