Red Brigades
The Red Brigades were a left-wing militant organization in Italy, active primarily from the late 1960s to the early 1980s. They aimed to overthrow the Italian government and establish a communist state. The group is best known for its violent tactics, including kidnappings and assassinations, which they justified as revolutionary actions against capitalism and imperialism.
One of their most infamous acts was the kidnapping and murder of former Italian Prime Minister Aldo Moro in 1978. The Red Brigades' activities led to a significant crackdown by the Italian government, resulting in numerous arrests and a decline in their influence by the mid-1980s.
