Razia Sultana
Razia Sultana was the first female ruler of the Delhi Sultanate in India, reigning from 1236 to 1240. She was the daughter of Iltutmish, a prominent Sultan, and was known for her intelligence and leadership skills. Razia broke gender norms of her time by taking on the responsibilities typically reserved for male rulers.
During her reign, Razia focused on administrative reforms and promoted meritocracy, appointing capable individuals regardless of their background. Despite her efforts, she faced opposition from nobles and was eventually overthrown. Razia Sultana remains a significant figure in history, symbolizing women's empowerment in leadership.
