Rashtrakutas
The Rashtrakutas were a powerful dynasty that ruled large parts of India from the 6th to the 10th centuries. They are known for their contributions to art, architecture, and literature, particularly during the reign of Dantivarman and Amoghavarsha. The capital of their empire was Malkhed, located in present-day Karnataka.
One of the most notable achievements of the Rashtrakutas was the construction of the rock-cut temples at Ellora, which showcase intricate carvings and architectural brilliance. They also played a significant role in promoting trade and culture, fostering a rich blend of diverse traditions across their vast empire.
