Rashtrakuta Dynasty
The Rashtrakuta Dynasty was a prominent Indian dynasty that ruled from the 6th to the 10th centuries. They were known for their significant contributions to art, architecture, and literature. The dynasty's capital was Malkhed, and they expanded their territory across large parts of present-day Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Gujarat.
One of the most notable achievements of the Rashtrakutas was the construction of the Kailasa temple at Ellora, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The dynasty also played a crucial role in promoting trade and culture, fostering a rich blend of Hindu and Jain traditions during their reign.
