Ranjitsinhji
Ranjitsinhji, also known as Ranji, was an Indian cricketer born on September 2, 1872, in Nawanagar, Gujarat. He is celebrated for his innovative batting style and is considered one of the greatest cricketers of his time. Ranji played for the England national team and was a key figure in the early development of cricket in India.
He made his first-class debut in 1896 and went on to achieve remarkable success, including scoring over 3,500 runs in Test matches. Ranjitsinhji's contributions to cricket extended beyond his playing career, as he also served as a mentor and inspiration for future generations of cricketers in both India and England.
