Rajput kingdoms
The Rajput kingdoms were a group of warrior clans in northern and western India that emerged between the 6th and 12th centuries. Known for their valor and chivalry, these kingdoms were characterized by a feudal system where local rulers, or Rajputs, governed their territories. They built impressive forts and palaces, which served as both military strongholds and centers of culture.
These kingdoms often engaged in battles with each other and with invading forces, such as the Mughals. Prominent Rajput clans included the Sisodia, Rathore, and Chauhan. The Rajputs played a significant role in shaping the history and culture of India, leaving a legacy of art, architecture, and traditions that continue to influence the region today.
