Rajneeshpuram
Rajneeshpuram was a commune established in the early 1980s in Wasco County, Oregon, by followers of the Indian spiritual leader Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, also known as Osho. The community was founded to create a utopian society based on his teachings, attracting thousands of followers from around the world.
The commune featured various facilities, including a meditation center, a restaurant, and housing for its residents. However, it faced legal challenges and controversies, including conflicts with local residents and issues related to immigration and criminal activities, leading to its eventual dissolution in 1985.
