Rajneesh movement
The Rajneesh movement, founded by Indian spiritual leader Osho (formerly known as Rajneesh), emerged in the 1970s and 1980s. It combined elements of Eastern spirituality, Western philosophy, and psychotherapy, promoting a path to self-discovery and personal transformation. Followers engaged in dynamic meditation and other practices aimed at achieving inner peace and enlightenment.
The movement gained international attention, particularly with the establishment of the Rajneeshpuram commune in Oregon, USA. This community faced controversies, including legal issues and conflicts with local residents. Despite these challenges, the movement's teachings on love, meditation, and awareness continue to influence many spiritual seekers today.
