Quintus Fabius Maximus Verrucosus
Quintus Fabius Maximus Verrucosus, often known as "Fabius Cunctator," was a Roman general and statesman during the Second Punic War. He is best known for his cautious military strategy against the Carthaginian general Hannibal, which emphasized avoiding direct confrontation and instead focusing on attrition and delaying tactics. This approach earned him the nickname "the Delayer."
