Queensferry Crossing
The Queensferry Crossing is a cable-stayed bridge located in Scotland, spanning the Firth of Forth. It connects the towns of North Queensferry and South Queensferry, providing a vital transport link for vehicles and pedestrians. Opened in 2017, it is the longest bridge of its kind in the UK, measuring 2.7 kilometers (1.7 miles) in length.
Designed to complement the historic Forth Road Bridge and the Forth Rail Bridge, the Queensferry Crossing features three towers and a distinctive design. It was built to improve traffic flow and enhance safety, especially during adverse weather conditions that often affected the older bridges.
