Queen of Greece
The title "Queen of Greece" refers to the female monarch of the Hellenic Republic, a title historically held by various royal figures. The most notable was Queen Sophia, who was married to King Constantine I in the early 20th century. The Greek monarchy was officially abolished in 1974, ending the reign of the last king, King Constantine II, who was the son of Sophia and Constantine.
Today, the title is largely ceremonial and symbolic, as Greece is a republic. The former royal family, including descendants like Crown Prince Pavlos, still holds a place in Greek history and culture, but they no longer have any official power.
