Queen Sālote Tupou III
Queen Sālote Tupou III was the reigning monarch of the Kingdom of Tonga from 1918 until her death in 1965. She was the first Tongan queen to travel to Europe and was known for her efforts to modernize the kingdom while preserving its cultural heritage. Her reign was marked by significant political and social changes in Tonga.
