Queen Philippa of Denmark (1394-1430) was a significant historical figure, known for her role as the queen consort of King Eric of Denmark. She was born into the House of Oldenburg and was the daughter of King Valdemar IV of Denmark. Her marriage to Eric helped strengthen ties between Denmark and Norway.
Philippa was also the mother of several children, including King Christopher III of Denmark, who later became king of Sweden and Norway. Her influence extended beyond her lifetime, as her descendants played crucial roles in the politics of the Scandinavian region during the Kalmar Union.
