Queen Constance of Portugal
Queen Constance of Portugal was born in 1290 and became the queen consort of King Afonso IV of Portugal. She was the daughter of King Sancho IV of León and Queen Dulce of Portugal. Her marriage in 1300 helped strengthen ties between Portugal and León, contributing to political stability in the region.
Constance was known for her piety and support of the church. She had several children, including King Peter I of Portugal, who later became a significant figure in Portuguese history. Queen Constance passed away in 1313, leaving a lasting legacy through her descendants.
