Qixi Festival (Valentine's)
The Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day, is celebrated on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. It commemorates the romantic legend of Niulang (the Cowherd) and Zhinu (the Weaver Girl), who are separated by the Milky Way and can only reunite once a year on this day.
During the festival, people engage in various activities, such as making offerings to the stars, crafting handmade gifts, and enjoying romantic dinners. It is a time for couples to express their love and for single individuals to pray for a good partner.
