Qin Mountains
The Qin Mountains, also known as the Qinling, are a major mountain range in central China. They stretch approximately 1,200 kilometers (750 miles) from west to east, separating the northern and southern regions of the country. The range is known for its diverse ecosystems, including forests, grasslands, and alpine meadows, which support a variety of wildlife.
The Qin Mountains are significant both geographically and culturally. They are home to the source of several important rivers, including the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. Additionally, the mountains have historical importance, as they have been a natural barrier and a cultural divide throughout Chinese history.
