Qatayef
Qatayef is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert, commonly enjoyed during the month of Ramadan. These sweet dumplings are made from a simple batter of flour, water, and yeast, which is cooked on one side to create a pancake-like base.
Once cooked, the pancakes are filled with a variety of sweet fillings, such as nuts, cream, or sweet cheese, and then folded into a half-moon shape. They can be served either fried or baked and are often drizzled with syrup or honey, making them a popular treat for breaking fast during Iftar.
