The Pyramid of Khafre is one of the three main pyramids located on the Giza Plateau in Egypt. Built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom, it was constructed for Pharaoh Khafre, who ruled around 2570 BC. The pyramid originally stood at 136.4 meters (448 feet) tall, making it slightly shorter than the nearby Great Pyramid of Giza.
Unlike its neighbors, the Pyramid of Khafre retains some of its original limestone casing at the top, giving it a unique appearance. The pyramid complex also includes the Great Sphinx of Giza, which is believed to represent Khafre and serves as a guardian to the burial site.
