Pulwama attack
The Pulwama attack occurred on February 14, 2019, in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. A suicide bomber from the militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed targeted a convoy of vehicles carrying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, resulting in the deaths of 40 soldiers. This incident marked one of the deadliest attacks on Indian security forces in recent history.
In response to the attack, the Indian government conducted airstrikes on a training camp in Balakot, Pakistan, where the attackers were believed to be based.
