Pull-Up
A "Pull-Up" is a strength training exercise that primarily targets the upper body, particularly the latissimus dorsi muscles in the back, as well as the biceps and shoulders. To perform a pull-up, an individual hangs from a horizontal bar with an overhand grip and pulls their body upward until their chin is above the bar. This exercise can be done with various grip styles, including wide, narrow, or neutral grips, each emphasizing different muscle groups.
Pull-ups are often used in fitness routines to build upper body strength and improve overall fitness. They can be modified for different skill levels, such as using resistance bands for assistance or performing negative pull-ups, where the focus is on lowering the body slowly. Regular practice of pull-ups can enhance grip strength and contribute to better performance in other physical activities.
