Princess Louise of Schleswig-Holstein
Princess Louise of Schleswig-Holstein was born on February 18, 1867, in Copenhagen, Denmark. She was the daughter of Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein and Princess Helena of the United Kingdom, making her a member of both the Danish and British royal families. Louise was known for her artistic talents and her involvement in charitable work throughout her life.
In 1889, she married John Campbell, 9th Duke of Argyll, becoming the Duchess of Argyll. The couple had three children and lived primarily in Scotland. Louise was active in promoting education and the arts, and she passed away on December 4, 1939, in London, England.
